Rosa "Jackie" McNeeley

Rosa Jacqueline McNeeley, 90, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny.

Jackie was born February 5, 1928, in Lamoni, Iowa to John and Mabel Foster. She married Eldon McNeeley and was primarily a homemaker, taking great pride in caring for her home and family. Jackie loved gardening and converted half of their homestead into showcase quality garden beds. She was talented at knitting, sewing and crocheting, and she also enjoyed baking. Jackie was a proud founding member of Maranatha Open Bible Church in Des Moines.

She is survived by one grandson, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Eldon, son John, sister Marjorie Leeper, and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
