Judith LaRae Ripperger

Judith LaRae Ripperger, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Judith was born January 28, 1941 in Waukee, Iowa to John Edward and Frances Luella (McClead) Blanchard. Judith enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, gardening, cooking, reading, and being with her family.

She is survived by her children, NoraLee (Patrick Calhoun) Cable, Jeffrey Eugene Tyler, Sheila (Michael) Sample, Deborah Thomas, and Laura (Jeffrey) Hill; Brother, Roger “Butch” Blanchard; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles; son, Robert Wade; siblings, Ruth, Lois, Bonnie, Gail, Billie, Stan, and Johnny

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
