Marilyn and I were best of friends all the way through high school and beyond. Coach Webb approached us in study hall in tenth grade and asked if we would be interested in working at the Des Moines Public Library and of course we accepted, Earl's employer had box seats at the Bruins, so we went to many games after work. (One of our friends actually married a pitcher who later was called up to the Cubs.) We also both worked at Northwestern Bell and took vacations to Colorado together. She truly was a very special lady. (I have many pictures (some very silly!) Many very special memories.

So sorry to read about Mrs Parsons. I only met her a couple of times years ago. But saw her often, in recent years, as she lived across the street from my son and his family. I worked with her husband when he worked at Iowa Power and Light.(Midamerican Energy) Lowell and Mrs Parsons went to Galilee Baptist at that time and were so involved with everything which was very impressive. They were a part of my past and I am just sorry that although my grandchildren who called her Marilyn and had all kinds of stories, I didnt ever think to ask about her last name. Remember the past and cherish your I know I will of the Parsons,

Marilyn's cheerful smile was always present despite the many challenges she faced throughout her life. As a relative by marriage, knowing her was inspirational.

We were in a camping club with her and Lowell years ago, since then I attended church with her at Superstition Sunrise up until this past year. She was such a lovely person, and good friend.
