Ronald J. Weddell, Sr.

Ronald J. Weddell Sr., 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 5, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired as a welder after 35 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and son.

He is survived by his brothers Michael (Patsy), Mark (Dena) and Raymond (Michelle). He is survived by his sons Ronald Jr. (Lora) and Chad (Shawn). He has 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Michael Francis Weddell and Grace Weddell Turner, his brothers Jim and Robert, and his loving partner Norma Owen.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, September 10th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 11th, also at Hamilton’s, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
