Alexis Lei Pettinger

Alexis Lei Pettinger received her angel wings Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born December 11, 2007 in Des Moines, the daughter of Rex and Rikki Lei (Brown) Pettinger.
Lexi loved all things “girly” – such as princesses, mermaids, anything purple, sparkly and glittery. She loved rocking out and dancing to 70’s music and country music, especially Rascal Flatts. Lexi was always a prankster and enjoyed teasing everyone she loved. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her brother and her greatest joy was protecting him.
In addition to her parents, Lexi will always be loved and cherished by her little brother, Elijah; Grandma Nicky and Grandpa Bubby; Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Jerry; Grandma Wendy; Great-Grandma Pam and Great-Grandpa Dennis; Great-Grandma Mary and Great-Grandpa Glen; her dog, Midnight and her cat, Nuwt; many aunts, uncles and cousins; other loving relatives and many special friends.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Cremation will follow the visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at The Eagles Lodge, 6567 Bloomfield Rd. in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Lexi.
