William Cardamon, 87, passed away on August 24, 2018 at the VA Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines. He was born to Nichola and Angela Cardamon (Bonacci) on July 2, 1931. Bill was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was honorably discharged on September 8, 1955.
On June 2, 1957, Bill was united in marriage to Anita Crivaro at The Basilica of Saint John in Des Moines, IA. He was an iron welder and later became a barber where he spent more than forty years cutting hair at his shops on Woodland and Douglas Avenue. Bill enjoyed socializing with his siblings and many friends. He also enjoyed golf, boating, and was a member of Societa Stemma D'Italia.
He is survived by his children, Nicki (Jerry) Savage of Des Moines and William Cardamon of Dallas, TX; and grandsons, Daniel Savage and Will Cardamon.
A memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road in Des Moines with visitation 30 minutes prior. A luncheon will follow in the lower church.

Thank you for all the happy memories you gave me. Thank you for for dancing with me at all of the family weddings. You were always my favorite Uncle. I miss you and I will always love you very much. Your niece Mary.
