Booker T. Jones

Booker Talfero Jones, 53, died peacefully Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in his home with his family by his side.

Booker was born January 9, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area and was self-employed in the construction field. He enjoyed playing disc golf and spending time with his family. His children and his grandchildren were everything to him. He was a beloved son, father, husband, and grandpa.

Booker is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Jolene; children, Latisha Jones, Keyonah Jones, Keyon Miller, and Elijah Jones; grandchildren, Serenity Rose Franklin and Thomas Danner; siblings, Nimrod Burkett, Nancette Carter, Tammy Grover, Dustin Thompson, Larry Bensley, and Amanda Thompson; uncle, Victor Buford; and his mother-in-law, Diane Grover.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Rose and Charles Wilson; father, Booker Jones; and his sister, Tina Conn.
