Andrew J. Cowger, 58, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2018 after a short illness. Andrew was born on July 7, 1960 in Peoria, IL; the son of Bob and Ann Cowger.
Andrew laid tile for most of his life and worked over 25 years at Des Moines Marble & Mantle. Most recently he was working for the Carpenter’s Union at Ralph Smith. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and playing with his beloved dog, Blackie. His greatest joy came from spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Molly Cowger; grandchildren, Romeo and Angel; brother, David (Donna) Cowger; and a host of other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann Cowger; brothers, Chris Morgan and Dean Morgan; and his dog, Blackie.
A Celebration of his Life will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Pioneer Park, 1650 E. Pioneer Rd., Des Moines.
Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Andrew.

My deepest sympathy to all of his family. Andy and I were childhood friends in Chillicothe. One 8th grade summer, we hung out almost every day. Great memories.

I will miss you my dear friend! Our daughter is broken hearted that shes lost you! Cant imagine not being able to talk to daddy.
