Glen Turner

Glen Brian Turner was born January 18, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert Dudley Turner and Geraldine Virginia (Williams) Turner. He died unexpectedly due to a heart attack on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at his home in Des Moines. He was 55 years old.
Glen graduated from East High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts for the past 17 years as a fork lift operator. His family and friends were most important to him. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone smile. Glen enjoyed fishing, and loved peanut butter cookies and ice cream.
He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Jo Ann Turner; daughters, Misti Witkowski, Ashlee Obere, and Sara Turner; grandchildren, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Te’Ayala, Kayla, Shayla, Izeem, Nickole, and Nickolas; brothers, Terry Watson, Robert Turner, and Gregory Turner; sisters, Belle Taylor, Deborah Turner, Francene Turner, and Pamela Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many loving friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Geraldine Turner; brothers, Eddie Watson, Larry Turner, and Gary Turner; and nephew, Shannon Turner.
There will be a memorial service at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service.
