Beverlee DeWaard
August 17, 2018
On Friday, August 17, 2018, Beverlee DeWaard, passed away in her home at the age of 58.
Bev lived a life filled with love. Her heart was full of compassion and grace and anyone who met her knew that. She had a light when she walked into the room and her smile was contagious. Everyone that met Bev was instantly drawn to her. She loved her friends and family and took great pleasure in being a devoted wife to Bob, caring mother to Jenny (Tyler), Jennifer (Todd), and Mike (Megan) and loving Grammy to Benjamin, Lily, Madeline, Theodore and Summer.
Even more than loving her family and friends, she loved Jesus. She fully believed that Jesus paid the price for her sin and that faith, trust and understanding shined brightly. Each and every day was devoted to the Lord and so many have been touched by her unwavering strength and faith. She continually drew strength from Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Trust in God during this season and use it to draw close and get to know Him.
We will be celebrating Bev’s life and her faith by holding a visitation at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens on Monday, August 20th from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral services will be held at First Family Church in Ankeny on Tuesday, August 21st at 10 am with a lunch afterwards. Bev has requested that if you are considering a gift that you make a donation to the Bev DeWaard Memorial Mission Fund accessible on the First Family Church website or by mailing checks to First Family Church at 317 SE Magazine Rd. Ankeny, IA 50021.

I worked with Bev along time ago at Pioneer.
She is kind and loving to everyone she met. Her kindness came from the love she had for the Lord.
I know your hearts are aching today ...... She is with her Lord.
He is with you today and always.

I am Bev's cousin. ( I knew her as "Bevy", when we were children running around on Grandpa Sidney & Grandma Myrtle's old farm in Royalton, MN). When in highschool, I played basketball with her. She on the Royalton High School team and I , on the Pierz High School Team. I am praying for your whole family as you grieve the separation from her at this time. I pray that you will all be comforted by the Giver of all Comfort (God) at this time. Remember:" He (God) is near to the brokenhearted."( Ps 34). I praise God that she knew Christ Jesus as her Savior. I came to know Christ as my Savior & Lord in January of 1980. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus. May the peace of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ be with you all at this time. " And this is life eternal that you may know him, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. John 17:3.
