Darline L. Weaver

Darline Weaver, 89, passed away August 9, 2018, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was born March 12, 1929, in Des Moines, to Phillip and Elizabeth Beener.

Darline enjoyed playing cards with her card group at Luther Park apartments and visiting the casino. Above all else, she cherished her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darline is survived by her children, Phillip (Gayl) Weaver, Pam (Gary) Bachman, and Paula (Scott) Cruea; grandchildren, Erin (Mark) Packwood, Jamie Mikla, Stephanie (Roney) Torres, and Diane Bachman; six great-grandchildren, Paige, Sydney, Caiden, Callie, Julian, and Lilyana; and her sister, Phyllis Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Allen, son Mike, brothers Freel “Bud” and Charles, and two sisters Ellen “Sis” and Josephine.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A private graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
