Robert L. Fogg, 81, passed away August 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family in Ankeny, Iowa. He was born May 31, 1937, in Guthrie Center, Iowa, to Willard and Ila Fogg.
Robert worked for the city of Ankeny for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, and working on anything “old”. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending as much time with them as he could.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Joe (Patty) Fogg, Robert Fogg Jr, John (Michelle) Fogg, Ronald (Jackie) Fogg, and Tonya Williams; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2018, Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens.

Bob, we are so sorry to hear about your dad. There really are no comforting words when you lose a parent, but knowing you have friends and family that care helps. You could always count on Bob to "tell it like it is" no matter what. So when he told me that he thought I really deserved my promotion it meant a lot to me. Rest well old friend.
