Tim Stevens

Tim Stevens, 54, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 6, 2018. He was born November 11, 1963, to Phillip and Janet Stevens in Des Moines, Iowa.
Tim graduated from Ankeny High School and Iowa State University, receiving a degree in Ag and Business. He was employed by Schnair Sales and Service and was formerly employed by Advanced Auto, both in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids.
Tim’s life can be summed up with these words: hunting, car racing, friends, and family. He was a positive force who uplifted those around him with a smile that never stopped.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Tammy; step-children, Claudia and C.J.; mother, Janet Stevens; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Joseph; as well as other loving family and countless friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, August 10, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. with a time of sharing to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Tim will always have a special place in my heart. I was truly blessed to call him my friend. We now have an amazing angel looking over us and even though he is gone, the memories I have with him and Tammy will last forever.

Well keep you in our prayers during this tragic loss . Tim was like a brother to me when we worked together at Advance. I will always remember the fun we had working together and that smile of his that was nonstop. If there is anything we can do please let me know love you guys it was a Privilege to have known Tim. Its with a sad heart that we well be unable to to make the visitation and the funeral but know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tim was a fierce competitor in the car, but your best friend in the pit! He always made you feel welcome, and was always willing to help you be a better racer. Always the go to guy for help and Tammy was always there behind him with the smile that made you feel welcome. Thanks for the memories!

My heart is heavy and sad of the loss of Tim. Tim was an amazing man someone I called a friend and a second dad, it was always fun hanging out with him at the track and working on race cars together. I always looked forward to Super Nationals and having fun with Tim.
My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. We may have lost a great man but we all gained amazing angel watching over us, if u need anything I am always here for u guys!
