Michael Vincent

Michael Edward Vincent, 60, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospital. Memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Private burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Mike was born October 5, 1947 in Centerville, Iowa and moved to Des Moines when he was about 10 years old. He graduated from North High School. Mike enjoyed time spent with his family and had a strong passion for NASCAR Racing, especially cheering on one of his favorites, Karl Edwards.
Mike is survived by his mother, Marge Vincent of Des Moines; brothers, Joseph Lee (Carol) Vincent of Des Moines and James David “JD” Vincent of Chicago; nephews, Kenneth (Lacy) Thompson, Jacob Vincent and Aaron Vincent; and great-nephew, Gunnar Thompson. He was preceded in death by his father, Pearl Edward Vincent.
