Helen Snyder

Helen Snyder, 69, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday.
Helen was born July 1, 1939 to Dorothy and Harold Blanchard. She was a member of Kingsway Cathedral and Norwoodville Community Center where she wrote the recipe bulletin in the Community Center’s paper. She loved fishing, hunting, arts and crafts, sewing, and baking. Her greatest love was spending time with her husband of 49 years, Durward, and her family. She was especially proud of her four great grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her loving husband, Durward; her children: Joseph, Michael, and Susan Snyder, and Doris (William) Cox; her grandchildren: Brandon, Lisa (Dionel), and Rosa; her great grandchildren: Kendra, Marco, Isabella, and Misael; her brother Joe (Sarah) Marley; her dog who was like a child, Bandit; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Jim.
