Service Details
Christine Maria Maier, 75, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. She had a life well lived. Per Christine’s wishes, a private family service will be held in Germany.
The family and May Rasing wish to thank Dr. Matthew Hill, Dr. Steven Elg, Dr. Jay Johnson and their staffs, John Stoddard Cancer Center, Unity Point Hospice, and HCI Hospice Care Services for the exceptional care and love shown to Christine and all of us.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to either the hospice organizations or the American Cancer Society.

I had the pleasure of working with Christine for many years at Bankers Trust. I loved her personality, spunk and wit that she showed us all everyday. She was one of a kind! Expressing sympathy and sorrow to May and her family over in Germany.

I knew Christine through a mutual friend, and later had a working relationship with her through her Bankers Trust years. She was always so upbeat and such a delightful person to be associated with. Thoughts and prayers to her family and close friends.

The trips we took, the fun we had will never be forgotten. Christine, I will miss you. Anette, Wolfgang and Peter, thanks for sharing your sister life with me. She made life fun.

I will miss Christines quiet wit shared with a twinkle in her eye and her wonderful laugh. I was the fortunate one to have known her and have her in my life.
