Edgar Metzler

Edgar Metzler, 56, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Friday at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Edgar was born August 14, 1951. He graduated from Des Moines Tech in 1970. Edgar served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the bronze star medal. Edgar worked at Dahl’s as a stocker. Edgar was a member of Cornerstone Community Church. He loved his savior Jesus Christ. He loved spending time with his family, the outdoors and sports.
Edgar is survived by his mother, Lydia Metzler; brothers, Norbert (Karen) and Tim Metzler, his sister, Jane (Rick) Lotz, 7 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
