Ruby Carlstedt

Ruby Carlstedt, 90, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Parkridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Ruby was born April 25, 1918 in Truro, Iowa. She worked for the State of Iowa Liquor Commission until her retirement in 1982. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Ruby is survived by her son, Gary (Peggi) Carlstedt; daughter, Jean Jordan; grandchildren, Bonnie Reinier, David Jordan, Norma Jones, Kristen Johnson and Ryan Carlstedt; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, three brothers and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnny Orr Memory Center and Health Aging Institute, 6000 University, Ste. A20, West Des Moines, Iowa 50266.
