Maureen Willey

Maureen Willey, 62, died August 9, 2008 at her daughter’s home, as she lived her life, surrounded by her family.
Maureen was born December 19, 1945 to career Air Force serviceman, John and Irene McDonald. Maureen lived in several different areas before settling in Des Moines.
Maureen married Michael Willey, another career Army serviceman in the fall of 1974. Michael’s career path took them with three children, to Boise, Idaho, where she developed a passion for raising horses. After Michael’s retirement, Maureen took extreme pride in owning a family owned and family valued business.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband, Michael, her daughter; Terri (Randy) Tobey, her sons; Jeffrey, James and Nick Willey, and Scott Rubenacker, grandchildren; Emma, Ella, and Edie, mother; Irene McDonald, sister; Patricia McDonald, brothers; Tom and Michael McDonald. She was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
