Gary Butler

Gary Butler, 54, died Friday, August 8, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at First Church of the Nazarene with burial at Avon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Gary was born July 18, 1954 to Donald and Vivolyn Butler. He served in the U.S. Army. Gary enjoyed playing the drums and steel guitar.
Gary is survived by his children, Jenniffer and Kristopher; his mother, Vivolyn Butler; brother, Larry (Mary) Butler; sister, Donna Butler; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
