Phyllis A. Whitten

Phyllis Ann Whitten, 75, passed away at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Phyllis was born July 3, 1933 in Coin, IA to Lucille and Wendell Hookham. She was a office manager at Lumberman Wholesaler. Phyllis loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, doing cross word puzzles, sewing and gardening.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Carol Whitten, Linda Penman, Carla Frye (Mark) and Lucy Swenson (Richard); her son, Roy Whitten Jr.; her grandchildren, David Whitlatch, Anthony Penman, Cody and Nick Frye, Bradley Swenson, Alexandria and Joshua Whitten; Her brothers, John Hookham and Rich George. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Whitten Sr., her daughter, Phyllis, her mother, Lucille George, her father, Wendell Hookham and her sister, Barbara.
