I shall always remember family get togethers at Uncle Gene and Aunt Jo's. I remember Uncle Gene and Aunt Jo were visiting when I was home at Mom and Dad's when Kendall was probably not more than 2 months old. Kendall and Gene carried on a conversation of coos and laughs for at least 5 minutes. He took wonderful pictures of birds and I know it's from my Des Moines memories the fondness I have for watching birds. I learned that from my mother. The laughter in their house when family would get together. The smell of his pipe-while he stopped everytime I smell a pile a smile comes to my face thinking of Uncle Gene. The pictures of his dogs. He was always taking care of others. Rest easy Uncle Gene. Give Grandma and Grandpa Wallace, Jacquie and Woody my love. I remember spending a few days with he and Uncle Jo in my early 20's. Oh they spoiled me. I will be there to honor your memory Friday. Thinking of you Lundy.
