Penny Rounds, age 75, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, surrounded by her family. Penny was born August 26, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa to Chuck and Mary Brandsfield.

She loved gathering family and had a passion for genealogy. Penny enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and turning old items into a treasure. Penny had the most generous loving heart, always putting others before herself without a moment’s hesitation. Her bright smile and kind heart will be missed.

Penny is survived by her beloved husband, Pete Rounds; children, Scott Rounds (Jill), John Rounds (Taylor) and Eddy Rounds; grandchildren, Nikki Richardson (Matt), Krissy, Hayley, Emma, Tessa and Presley Rounds; 3 great-grandchildren, Carter, Timothy and Caden; brothers, Bud and Mike Brandsfield; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Rounds; parents, Chuck and Mary Brandsfield; brother, Bob Brandsfield; and sister, Connie Brandsfield.

The family will greet friends from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 27th at the Saint Peter’s Church, 612 E. 18th St., Des Moines, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.
