Diane P. Rogers

Diane Rogers, 76, passed away on July 18, 2018, at her home in Des Moines. She was born October 15, 1941, in Des Moines, the daughter of Glenn and Laura Goodwin.

Diane graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1960. She ran a daycare for 20 years and loved each child that was in her care. Diane enjoyed cross stitch, knitting and was a member of Bethany New Life Christian Fellowship Church. She never knew a stranger and had many extended family and friends. Above all, Diane loved her family and the time they spent together. She was very proud of them.

Diane is survived by her husband of 57 years, Merle; children, Phillip (Michelle) Rogers, Craig (Traci) Rogers, and Laurie (Doug) Weets; grandchildren, Corey (Megan), Tanner, Caleb, Allison and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Braelynne and Gracie; siblings, Gary Goodwin and Keith (Carol) Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
