Jon Reid Stapes, 53, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 16, 2018. There will be a celebration of his life from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 21st at Yellow Banks Park - Shelter House 1, 6801 SE 32nd Ave, Pleasant Hill.
Jon was born December 19, 1964, in Orange County, CA to Reid Stapes and Janet Towey. He is survived by his parents; children, Josh (Stephanie), Jonathon (Rorrie), Cassie, Hunter, Morgan and Logan Stapes; four grandchildren; and his siblings, Justina (Kerry) Schneider, Angel (Sara) Carr, Tricia Towey, Michael Towey, Gloria Towey and Christina Towey.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

The loss of our cousin will be felt deeply for the remainder of our time on earth- we will reunite with you in Heaven as we are promised by Jesus- your memory will shine bright in our hearts- i will never forget your mischievous smile and twinkle of your eyes- i always felt happy around you and can still hear your voice and laughter from my childhood- your mother loved you more than you could ever imagine and you have so many family members and friends that will miss you and pray that you are at peace and enjoying your time with Jesus and our family members that have gone before us- i know that my mom is sitting with you hugging you and happy to have you beside her- please give her a kiss for me and we will keep living and loving each other until we see you again!
