Tommy Glen Thomas

Tommy Glen Thomas, 80, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice; daughter, Kelly (Tom) Roseberry; grandchildren, Heather (Ian) Lintner and Travis (Marisa) Roseberry; great-grandson, Finn Roseberry; and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Eva Thomas and his sister, Colleen McClaflin.

He was born in Centerville, Iowa on December 13, 1937. He attended Iowa State University and loved his job as an electrical engineer. He retired from Titan Tire. He enjoyed trains and hunting. Tommy had a great faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved to be in church.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2018, at Galilee Baptist Church, 2208 Des Moines Street, Des Moines, IA 50317. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery after the funeral.
