Barbara J. Loneman

Barbara J. Loneman, 68, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2018. She was born December 31, 1949 in Carroll to Vertis and Marion Petersen. Barb married Kenneth Loneman on October 17, 1970.

Barb was known as “Nana” to those close to her. She worked at Qwest (now Century Link) for over 40 years. Barb’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ken; daughter, Sarah (Luke) Peterson; grandchildren, Samuel, Adam and Collette Peterson; sister, Jolene (Mark) Stoelk; brothers, Duane and Dale Petersen; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Rachel Stoelk; brother in infancy, David; and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, July 12, 2018 with a vigil service at 7 pm at the Ss. John and Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Ave S, Altoona. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the church. Burial will follow services at Altoona Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
