Betty Louise Swartzendruber, 76, passed away July 6, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center.
Betty was born on April 5, 1942 in Paducah, Kentucky to Abram and Mildred Gipson. She had been a dining room attendant for over 20 years at the Old Country Buffet. Betty loved reading romance novels. She was a longtime member of Church of God, AIC. Betty adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving and it gave Betty another reason to dote on her family.
She is survived by her children, Charles Lee, Tina (Joseph) Rusgaitis, Tracey Norton, Sandy (Tim) Fisher and Shelley Swartzendruber; grandchildren, Taylor, Kaylee, Lucas, Nolan, Trenton, Danny and Drew; sister, Wanda; and a host of extended family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Doris; and her grandsons, Dylan and Brady.
The family will greet friends Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a time of sharing at 6 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

We admired your Mom for the way she lived her life and for her down to earth, practical, cheerful perspective. She was well loved and appreciated. Even though we haven't seen her as often in recent years she will still be missed! Our love to all the family.
