Lois Irene Olson, age 99, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Madrid Nursing in Madrid, Iowa.
Lois was born May 11, 1919, in Rudd, Iowa to Elbert and Luella (Roy) Bennett. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, reading, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Linda Olson, Carol Olson, Donald Olson, Jr. and Lisa (Olson) Neas, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Everett Olson, Sr., son, Charles D. Valentine, two sisters, Mildred and Bernice, and brother, Paul.
Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd, Iowa. Visitation will held one hour prior to the funeral.
Charitable contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army in memory of Lois.

Carol Im sorry for the loss of your mother!! It was always nice to hear stories of how she was doing when you come into the dollar general!! Praying for you and the family!
