Shirley Pike

Shirley Ann Pike, 74, passed away on July 28, 2008 at Mercy Hospital. Shirley was born Oct 3, 1933 in Des Moines and graduated from East High School. She married George L. Pike on Jan 6, 1951 & together they had three children.
Shirley enjoyed embroidering baby quilts, growing and canning vegetables, recording and watching movies and most of all, her family.
Shirley is survived by her husband, George, two daughters, Deb Freeman and Kathy Heller; her son, Mark (Diane) Pike; sister, Sharon Lattimer; brother Steve (Pam) Kuefner; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruby Kuefner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home on Lyon St. with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
