Carol Streeter, 75, passed away June 23, 2018, in Des Moines. She was born July 28, 1942, to Corwin “Buddy” and Wilma Fee in Knoxville, Iowa.

Carol graduated from Bussey High School in 1960 and then moved to Des Moines. She started working at Capital City Bank where she met Verle Streeter. They were united in marriage on September 28, 1963, in Knoxville. In 1972, they moved from Des Moines to their current home in the country.

Carol raised her two children before going back to work as an Office Manager for Koch Brothers in Des Moines. She then worked for and retired from Triplett Office Supplies in Ankeny. During retirement, she enjoyed working part-time at Willowbrook Elementary until 2013.

Carol served as a Sunday School teacher and in the Sunday School Office for several years. She also served as the Ladies’ leader and choir director. Carol volunteered as a Cub Scout Den mother and was president of the Ankeny Rotary Chapter. When Carol wasn’t sitting on her deck enjoying her peaceful backyard, she loved to travel and go for road trips across the United States. Having friends and family over for dinner and games always brought her joy.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Verle; children, Rick (Kathy) Streeter and Tammy (Lance) Roberts; 5 grandsons, Tristen and Chase Streeter, Blake, Kyle, and Landon Roberts; sister, Jan (John) Allard; brother, Corwin (Carol) Fee; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Warren Powers Cemetery in Adelphi, Iowa. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
