Betty Baker, age 94, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Betty was born on October 2, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Betty graduated from East High School and worked for Hawkeye Security Insurance for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed mall-walking, movies, traveling, cruises, crossword puzzles, visiting with friends, and spending time with family. Betty was a longtime volunteer with Hospice of Iowa and Iowa Public Television.

Betty is survived by her loving son, Bernard (Suzanne) Kozosky; granddaughters, Nichole Kozosky, Katherine Linn, and Alexandria (Mitch) Benson; grandson, Kristopher (Sarah Bever) Kozosky; great-grandsons, Zachery Linn and Alexander Linn; great-granddaughters, Kristin Coggeshall and Katherine Coggeshall; great-great-granddaughter, Blakely Burrows.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, William Kozosky; second husband, Stanley Baker; sister, Polly Aber; mother, Rebecca Kirkman; and father, Albert Kirkman.

Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Iowa.
