Sharon Jones

Sharon L. Jones, 80, passed away at her home on June 18, 2018.
Sharon was born August 1, 1937 in Shelton, Washington to Harold LeGarde and Caroline (Downing) Tompkins. She worked as a nurse's aide for the VA Hospital in Des Moines for 24 years.
Sharon loved family gatherings where she could spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Sharon loved her pets and enjoyed taking her dogs to the dog park. She liked making crafts and quilts, along with reading books.
Sharon is survived by her children, Cathy Jones, Wendy (Denny) Chrisman, Ted Jones, Dawn (Sam) (Tom) Hilderbrand, Carrie (Bugsy) Jones-Heggen; 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Tompkins and Toni (Gary) Dann. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald. L. Jones; her son, Donald C. Jones; her brother, Ronald LeGarde; step-father, Ted C. Thompkins; and mother, Caroline Tompkins.
Due to her wishes a private family ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or Taylor Hospice in memory of Sharon L. Jones.

To all of Sherrys children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and both of her wonderful sisters I am expressing deepest ,condolences and sympathy. I know she will be greatly missed, Although I have not seen her over the years when we were growing up we had the best time she was such a good friend and cousin .
