Joe Campo

Joe Campo Sr., 93, of Des Moines died peacefully on Saturday July 26, 2008 at the Fleur Heights Care Center surrounded by his family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday evening at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Joe was born in Enterprise, Iowa, raised in Italy and moved to America in 1931. He was a successful contractor, a great father and grandfather. He was a wonderful gardener, loved cooking and caring for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Jonelle and his sister Rita Bondi and survived by his son Joe Campo and his wife Patricia of Atlanta, his grandchildren Joseph Andrew, Ronald, Ken, Heather and Hillary as well as 10 great grandchildren.
