Amy Beam, 48, passed away on June 11, 2018 at Unity Point Taylor Hospice in Des Moines. She was born September 11, 1969 in Des Moines to Steve Bracken and Janice Burns.
Amy is survived by her loving husband of over 30 years, Travis; daughters, Amber, Ashley and Abby; mother, Janice (Chuck) Burns; father, Steve (Sue) Bracken; uncle, Rick (Janet) Easter; aunt, Kathe (Bob) Fosnaugh; and cousin and close friend, Stacey (Quincy) Hale.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dick and Evelyn Easter; paternal grandparents, Les and Evelyn Bracken; father-in-law, Butch Beam; and a son in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Amy’s family.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Mercy West Lakes.

Amy, you were such a sweet girl and you had the biggest smile!
You have 3 gorgeous girls that will have so much love in their lives. They know how much you loved them.
God be with you all. I know youre hearts are broken but keep your eyes looking up. You WILL be with Amy again. That sparkle will be back in her eye. I know this is true.

I am so sorry for your loss. I adored Amy she was one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Travis, Abby, Ashley, Amber and the rest of her family words cant express how unbelievably sorry I am for you. The world definitely lost a ray of light.
