Linda Jean Benson

Linda J. Benson, 75, of Indianola, Iowa, passed away on June 9th, 2018. She was born February 11, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Helen; father, Irving; brothers, Irving, James and Richard; and sister, Janet. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Fred Benson; her daughters, Candy (Stan) Ecker and Lori (Jason) Logan; her sons, Joe (Stacy) Young and Richard (Kim) Young; 12 grandchildren: David, Erica, Brandon, Stephanie, Tony, Brittany, Ashley, Mathew, Heather, Tawni, Wyatt and Marshall; 28 great-grandchildren: Hailey, DJ, Shelby, Lorali, Dallas, Dylan, Dakota, Noah, Ariella, Evvy, Colton, Bella, Mikaylee, Allyson, Malika, Leela, Mia, Kyla, Haydyn, Dominick, Leah, Lilian, Laura, Lisa, Teagen, Caiden, Zophie and Zora.

Linda is remembered for her devotion to and love of family. She has been our sun that we have all gravitated around. Holiday occasions and family gatherings, she always worked tirelessly to ensure there was always enough for everyone. Although the hole left in our lives will be tough to fill, we will strive to make sure to carry on her legacy of giving and love. (Love you more!)

Linda will be interred at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.
