Service Details
Clara Strange, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am July 30, 2008 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
She was a realtor in the Des Moines area for many years.
Clara is survived by her daughters, Ann (Bob) McFarlin and Linda (Michael) Rutledge; of Des Moines, 4 Grandchildren Bob McFarlin Jr., Perry McFarlin, Michael William Rutledge and Bob Petro, 6 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde and her daughter Imogene Pedro.

I will miss my dear Nan. She was the only grandmother I ever knew and I cherished her. I will forever remember the love and kindness she showed her family in California. She never forgot us even though we were half way across the country. I always will remember the trips we made to Iowa with the family. I felt so welcome and such a part of the family. Thanks for the memories, Nan. You will forever have a special place in my heart.
