1955 ~ Virginia Ruth Watley ~ 2018
Virginia Ruth Watley was born January 28, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa at Mercy Hospital, sixth of nine children born to Roy Watley and Ruth Ann (Henderson) Watley. It was here where the seeds of hard work and love of family were sown.
Virginia’s love for family was evident in all of her relatives near and far. She had a smile a mile long and a heart as big and warm as the brightest sunset.
Virginia loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was a devoted sister and friend. Her smile and laugh could brighten any room and her outer beauty was amplified by her inner strength, determination and faith. Even during her times of sickness, she remained positive and loving to all.
Virginia departed this life on Thursday June 7, 2018. She is now at rest with her parents Roy and Ruth Watley, siblings Anne and Bobby, nephews Richard and Ricky Carr. She leaves one daughter Letitia Sharp and family of Florida, siblings Agnes Cook of Colorado, Juanita Moore of California, Wayne Watley of Colorado, Russell (Helen) Watley of Colorado, LaWanda Watley of Iowa and Trena (Alan) Hamilton of Illinois, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
You loved us all like a sister should
Taking all of the bad with the good
Showing us right from wrong
how to love God and always be strong.
Your smile and laugh we’ll dearly miss
That big warm hug and sweet, tender kiss
No more hurt or pain for God called your name
Our loss is heaven’s gain.
We’ll miss your earthly body but understand that God has the final say.
We won’t question his intentions or ask why
We’ll just rejoice in your memory and see you in the sky.
Love forever your niece Chantell Windham

My deepest condolence to the family
I went to school with her. Also, she was a patient at main stream living, when I worked there. Virginia was, a kind, loving person. Had a beautiful smile. A lovely woman who has, dealt with illness for years.
She at peace and not suffering. Peace and love.
