Doris Gale

Doris Jean Gale, 82, passed away on June 3, 2018 at home. She was born in Des Moines, on May 12, 1936 to John and Dorothy (Davey) Sharp.

Doris was a supervisor of housekeeping at Prairie Meadows. She was an avid reader and in her younger years enjoyed gardening, walking and cooking.

Doris is survived by her children; Ron Gale, Pat McCormick, Windy Gale and Amy Gale; grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, Sarah, James, Joey, Brett, Jessica, Dakota, Ashlee, Matthew, Joshua and Connor along with numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tommy Gale; daughter,
Marti Gale-Barden and grandson, Jason.

Services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. The family will greet friends from 12:00 -2:00 p.m., prior to services.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road, Des Moines.
