Floyd Lee Doddema

Floyd Lee Doddema, 69, was born on April 19th, 1949, in Dike, Iowa to Pete and Mary Doddema. He passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Floyd proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army during Vietnam where he completed one tour of duty. He then re-enlisted into the U.S. Navy and completed a 2nd tour of duty. While in the U.S. Navy, Floyd was awarded a Commendation Medal. Upon returning from his 2nd tour of duty, Floyd became a recruiter for the U.S. Navy.

Floyd married Carolyn Shipley and together they raised three sons. Floyd worked as a landscaper and enjoyed running his own landscaping business for many years.

Floyd enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and visiting with his many friends from McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts. Floyd was at his best when he was enjoying a great cup of coffee and telling one of his hilarious stories.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his three children, Dan (Michele), Hezy (Tara), and Josh (Jennifer); and six grandsons, Breck, Brayden, Tristyn, Braxtyn, Lincoln and Desmond.
