Donna Jean Wetzel, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Taylor House Hospice after a courageous battle with COPD.
Donna was born December 3, 1934, in Chariton, Iowa to Harold and Velta Ryan. She enjoyed spending time in her yard growing lilacs and tending her flower gardens. She was an avid bowler and liked watching Tiger Woods play golf and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
She is survived by her children, John (Barbara) Wetzel, Richard (Vickie) Wetzel, Peggy Bailey, and Vickie (Jerry) Gray; grandchildren, Jayme (Dustin) Fisher, Amanda Smith, Bradley (Panda) Smith, Lacey (Nick) Anderson, Tommy Dawson, Sara Wetzel, Chad (Amber) Bailey, Staci (Tony) Huffman, Kari Gibler, Jason Gray and Joshua Gray; great-grandchildren, Gage, Maelle, Zeb, Noah, Kade, Paige, Haley, Hannah, Ethan and Abbie; as well as a host of other loving family members and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, John Arthur Wetzel, Jr.; grandson, Joseph Wetzel; five brothers and one sister.
According to Donna’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We love you and miss you, I will always have sweet memories of you. Eating popcorn and drinking Pepsi in a glass of ice while you were babysitting me, bowling with you, cleaning houses with you (even though I always got the bathrooms) and many more,until We meet again.
