Joyce Halligan Fulitano, 78, of Des Moines died on July 23, 2008 at Hospice Kavanagh on 56th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 A.M. Friday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. Joyce had worked for the Polk Co. Recorders Office and was a long time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She loved anything Irish, following the Hawkeyes and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Anne (Jim) Trees of Urbandale, Jeannie (Gary) Nogel of Overland Park, Kansas, Joy (David) Barsetti of Des Moines, Jill (John) Fulitano Avery of Des Moines, Dave (Barb) Fulitano of Urbandale and John (Bridget) Fulitano of Portland, Oregon, her sisters Rosemary Farley of Grass Valley, California, Carol (Ed) Lobato of Littleton, Colorado, Kay (Gene) Shanklin of Denver, Colorado and Sue Halligan of Lakewood, Colorado as well as 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and her parents William and Theresa Halligan. The family will greet friends from 4-8 P.M. Thursday evening at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home where there will be a 7:00 P.M. Rosary service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Church or Easter Seals.
