Dennis Evans

Dennis R. Evans, 64, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held 10 am Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Denny was born March 3, 1944 in Des Moines to Lela and LeRoy Evans,
He worked for the Rock Island, Chicago Northwestern and Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years. He retired as a Car Man. Denny enjoyed doing yard work. H eloved going to his grandchildren’s baseball games, He was an avid Hawkeye Fan as well as a Dallas Cowboy Fan.
Denny is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, his children, Diane (Frank) Leonitti, LeRoy (Sue) Evans; his four grandchildren, Miranda, Nicholas, Jesse and Kennedy and 1 great grandchild, Tristan; his brother, Charles (Peggy) Evans, his sisters, Pat Lopez and Phyllis Romare.
