Mary Joan Peterson

Mary "Joan" Peterson, 72, died on October 25, 2006 in Chandler, Arizona. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Peterson was born in Joplin, Missouri and grew up in Kansas City. In 1955 she married Howard L. Peterson and they moved to Des Moines in 1956.
She is survived by her son Thomas Peterson of Los Altos, California and his wife Debra and their children Daniel and Carl ; her daughter Lisa Peterson of Plano, Texas; her siblings Sandy Zalewski, Barbara Overman and Charles Overman all of the Kansas City area. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard in 1998.
