Emily Painter

Emily Irene Painter, 92, died Monday, July 14, 2008. Emily Irene was born on November 18, 1915 in Truro, Iowa to Maude and Frederick Forster.
Irene graduated in 1934 from Mingo High School. She was a bus driver for several years for the Saydel School District. She was married to Arthur O. Painter on June 10th 1934. They were married for 68 years before he passed away in 2002.
Irene was also preceded in death by 3 sisters: Josephine Rhoades of Indianola, Iowa, Freda DeVault of Minnesota, and Maxine Breer of Baxter, Iowa; 2 brothers: Gerome Forster of Oregon, and Gerald Forster of California; her oldest child, Ronald Painter of Des Moines, and her oldest great-grandchild, Nathan Morrill of Michigan.
Irene is survived by her daughter Sally J. Reed, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Irene.
