Audrey York

Audrey York, 80, entered into eternal life, Monday, July 14, 2008 at her home. Audrey was born to Jake and Merle Hershey on June 29, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Audrey is survived by daughters, Judy (Russ) Nay and Sue (Durwood) Howard; and son, Jim (Gladys) York; six grandchildren, Cathryn Kelly, Nick Bell, R.J. Nay, Jessie Nay, Dakota Lisk and Greg Howard; three great-grandchildren, Wynne Kelly, Dulce Sarcone Bell and Zara Kelly; her sister, Donna Schultz and two brothers, Bobby Hershey and Ronnie Hershey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob York; parents, Jake and Merle Hershey; sisters, Sandra Harmison and Vesta Smith; brothers, Buster Hershey and Jim Hershey.
Audrey was cremated and Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Runnells Christian Church in Runnells, Iowa. A private burial will take place at a later date at the Lowman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Runnells Christian Church Building Fund or Iowa Health Care Hospice. Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
