Ann Gorden, 50, was born February 28, 1958 in Washington D.C. and passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Des Moines. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Ann was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. She was a dog lover, and enjoyed walking her dog, especially in Prospect Park.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Venis (Jonathan) Wallace and Nichole (Miguel) Beardsley; two granddaughters, Skylar Wallace and Sofia MayRivero, who were her pride and joy; and other loving relatives and special friends. She will also be missed by her faithful four-legged companion, Baby Girl. She was preceded in death by her son, Forrest Beardsley and father, Charles Jay Underwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or Prospect Park in loving memory of Ann. Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, is handling arrangements.
