Frederick J. Weber

Frederick J. Weber, Sr., 84, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. He retired from Metz Bakery as a route salesman and operated the Kandy Kitchen, at 21st & Forest Ave. for many years.
Frederick is survived by two sisters, Myrtle Randolph and Delores Anders of DuQuoin, IL; his children, Girard (Joanna), Bonita (Frank) Harper, Stephen (Constance), Frederick, Jr. (Carolyn), Dawn, Phillip (Debbie), Helen (Jody, Sr.) Woods, Gloria Pickell, Forest, Sr., Darryl (Rosie), Martie (Carla), Dwayne (Wanda), Bruce (Donna), Bryan (Jessica), Ralph (Christie), Mark, Janel Pelz, Christopher, David and Stephanie; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemente and Thelma Chihauhua and wives, Nannie Helen and Martha.
Frederick was a WWII veteran and had received culinary arts training in Paris, France and Rome, Italy. He also was a very sharply dressed man who took pride in his appearance.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
