Service Details
Tim died July 9th 2008 at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Funeral services will be 12 PM Monday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Tim worked for the City of Des Moines as a laborer and enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his spouse Lisa Johnson; Son, Olin; Sisters, Kathy (Bill) Wilson, Mary (Hono) Gomez, Susan Kingkade, Janet Morris; Brother Jim (Debbie) Kingkade; a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, James Sr. and Margaret Kingkade.

What a great guy, the world has lost a wonderful person. Tim was so full of life, kind, with compassion for all. Tim also was hilarious, quick witted, had a way knowing when you were down, he made you laugh and not take life to seriously. He truly cared for people. I loved Tim, i think we all did. this is going to take some time to get over. God bless him and his family.

it was a honor working with tim he was my go to guy. i injoyed riding with tim in toy run with him . he will be missed. my deepest sympathy go out to his wife and son. ken huntley

I had the pleasure of working with Tim for all of my years in the Sewer dept.
He always had a smile or something funny to say. He was old school and set in his ways but you knew where you stood with Tim, he pulled no punches and that's what I'll miss about him, his honesty.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends, he will be missed.
Heaven just picked up one colorfull guy.

I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Tim this past winter when he was
helping out for public works at the City Food Drive. What a wonderful person. He was a great friend and Co-worker to our Son-In-Law Devin Mefferd. All of us at the City of Des Moines Family will miss Tim's humor and friendship. Blessings and Condolences to his family and friends.
