Mary Petty

Mary M. (Peggy Graham) Petty, was born December 10, 1926 in Des Moines to Robert and Audrey Richardson Graham. Peggy attended Lincoln High School and graduated in January of 1945. She married Alva LeRoy Petty on May 27, 1949 at Fort Des Moines Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Mary is survived by her children, Nancy Walter, Kirk (Bobbi) Petty and Jeffrey Petty; grandchildren, Nicholas Petty, Amy, Robert and Susan Walter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sons, Raymond and Stephen; brother, Robert “P.J.” Graham; sisters, Polly Morrow and Patricia Hinds; and brother-in-law, Stan Hinds.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family School. A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Resthaven Cemetery.
